I really just want a mac for the build quality and the aesthetics. The design is just so... I can't describe it, but it's just compatible with what i want, I guess. The awesome battery life helps too.
Yea I could see where your coming from.....they are rather sleek and lightweight....I guess I'm just the type that rather get something a bit more rugged for a little more power...

Makes me laugh when mac fans brag about how powerful their macbook's are when pretty much every company has a high end laptop on par or surpassing the specs of them.....They should be bragging about aesthetics not specs

I already got my power machine, it's just a computer for CEGEP. But I will probably use the crap out of it even after that.

When it comes to electronics, I can manipulate my parents at will. So whether it's for school or not, they will probably buy it.
It makes me laugh when I hear my friends going "my parents put a parental block on my computer, now I can only be 3 hours per week on the web" when I'm the network admin at home

Best home computer ever?

Super Fucking Famicom.
iMac G3! those things were fun to fix at school and I'll be damed if they weren't tanks....Old enough to have the cool see through colorful style of the 90's and old enough to still have oregon trail...hated the mice though....

EDIT: ohh and monkat's nipples.....just because they need to be in every discussion

But it wouldn't be as small/cute...

MicroATX board, MicroATX case of your choosing.

Spraypaint it pink and put some glitter on it.

edit: and some Hello Kitty stickers

Not everything has to have an apple badge to be good :/
You can get twice or more powerful laptop from another brand for less. Whatever floats your iBoat.
offtopic:
I'm not a hater though, I love iOS devices and I'll be sinking £30 a month + preliminary price for an iphone 6 or whatever they are up to when my htc crappo contract runs out

For looks, slim lightweight macbooks are great, but you can't say they aren't extremely expensive for the hardware..
