Hacking Hykem's 5.5 iosu Exploit

5.5.0 = 5.5.1

I found somewhere saying that 5.5.1 only had the mp4 entrypoint whereas 5.5.0 had other ones. I think @SonyUSA said, but I have not time to look for it.

Well, I said to hold back your curiousness, but okay...
Simply put, it was this, but two times worse. So... we're about half-way there to a glorious golden lock.

WiiU has about half the userbase of 3DS so that explains that.

Also, it should go without saying but - Once Hykem releases his exploit, you peeps should also know that it's just the exploit. He hasn't said it will be "plug-and-play" for anything currently released, and the dev's that want to use said exploit will need to update and test their code before releasing their own batch of goodies.

So in short - please stfu with all the fake IRC crap and shitposts. In the end this exploit really means nothing once it's available for immediate release for us common folk.

Well, mp4 exploit is kinda useless when it comes to real homebrews like loadiine etc, because it can't access everything on WiiU

Better stay on 5.5.0 until the devs says you can update. Use tubehax's DNS to be safe. I'm able to play MK8 online with the DNS set up.

And I can't access eshop without updating so I think I'm going to do it :/

I ended up updating so i could purchase a few things off the Eshop. At this point it doesn't matter to me whether or not i can run homebrew. If by some chance i am unable to do so after updating to 5.5.1 i am cool with that but it's still cool that 5.5.1 users have that chance.

All the developers like MarioNumber1, NWPlayer123 and more are working with Hykem on the IOSU exploit, so I think they have taken the chance and already ported their apps to IOSU for use on release.

there is no browser block. there is no patched exploit that we know of. crediar said it himself that it was safe to update.

There is no reason to stay on 5.5.0 as only the browser was updated and we got an exploit for that.

So anyone on 5.5.0 should just update to 5.5.1 there is really no point to stay on 5.5.0.
