I found somewhere saying that 5.5.1 only had the mp4 entrypoint whereas 5.5.0 had other ones. I think @SonyUSA said, but I have not time to look for it.5.5.0 = 5.5.1

Well, I said to hold back your curiousness, but okay...
Simply put, it was this, but two times worse. So... we're about half-way there to a glorious golden lock.
Okay, thanks gonna update!nothing meaningful changed in 5.5.1 compared to 5.5.0 so yes
Well, mp4 exploit is kinda useless when it comes to real homebrews like loadiine etc, because it can't access everything on WiiUI found somewhere saying that 5.5.1 only had the mp4 entrypoint whereas 5.5.0 had other ones. I think @SonyUSA said, but I have not time to look for it.

It'll be needed to use the IOSU exploit.Well, mp4 exploit is kinda useless when it comes to real homebrews like loadiine etc, because it can't access everything on WiiU

Thanks, but I need to download the DLC actually, else I fucked up 15$ on nothing xDBetter stay on 5.5.0 until the devs says you can update. Use tubehax's DNS to be safe. I'm able to play MK8 online with the DNS set up.
Oops, but Hykem said it worked on 5.5.1, did he?It'll be needed to use the IOSU exploit.

Hykem did said it worked on 5.5.1 tho.Look at the first post: Big red letters: Do not update 5.5.1.
Let him/her update. Can't answer the same crap repeatable for everyone almost every hour !!!Look at the first post: Big red letters: Do not update 5.5.1.
Same.I ended up updating so i could purchase a few things off the Eshop. At this point it doesn't matter to me whether or not i can run homebrew. If by some chance i am unable to do so after updating to 5.5.1 i am cool with that but it's still cool that 5.5.1 users have that chance.
Because I bought something 15$ and I don't want it to get ruined?Weather it does or not is it worth updating to find out in a few weeks there maybe be problems with the latest firmware? I don't understand some people rushing to update!!
WiiU has about half the userbase of 3DS so that explains that.
Also, it should go without saying but - Once Hykem releases his exploit, you peeps should also know that it's just the exploit. He hasn't said it will be "plug-and-play" for anything currently released, and the dev's that want to use said exploit will need to update and test their code before releasing their own batch of goodies.
So in short - please stfu with all the fake IRC crap and shitposts. In the end this exploit really means nothing once it's available for immediate release for us common folk.
Um no it isn't safe. If an update doesn't patch exploits, something is very fishy. Don't come crying to me when Ninty force updates your 5.5.1 console to 6.0.0nothing meaningful changed in 5.5.1 compared to 5.5.0 so yes
One valid reason I guess! Just don't be here in a month or 2 asking or complaining for loadiine or homebrewSame.
Because I bought something 15$ and I don't want it to get ruined?
Didn't they say there wasn't anything in 5.5.1 that could phone home? I think i SonyUSA might have said that?Um no it isn't safe. If an update doesn't patch exploits, something is very fishy. Don't come crying to me when Ninty force updates your 5.5.1 console to 6.0.0
there is no browser block. there is no patched exploit that we know of. crediar said it himself that it was safe to update.Um no it isn't safe. If an update doesn't patch exploits, something is very fishy. Don't come crying to me when Ninty force updates your 5.5.1 console to 6.0.0
There is no reason to stay on 5.5.0 as only the browser was updated and we got an exploit for that.
So anyone on 5.5.0 should just update to 5.5.1 there is really no point to stay on 5.5.0.
