They are pretty general terms, if I were to imitate Neimod who I know is anti-piracy I would use those terms even without doing any research on the way he speaks and says things XDSource: https://gbatemp.net/threads/hykems-5-5-iosu-exploit.406150/page-106#post-5960212

It may be coincidence or this troll is trying really hard, but its weird they use the same exact terms.
Ah well You're probably right. I apologize for coming off as "entitled" not once did I say I deserved an exploit for nothing. Merely suggested it would be an awesome benefit to the community. MN1 also stated that holding onto that extra exploit is basically pointless..idk why you're trying so hard here :/

My understanding is IOSU>Kernel as far as access and what devs would be able to do. That's why the other way around seemed logical to me. I could be way off though, so that's totally fair.I wasn't trying to be a dick and just should have stated the way you presented your point seemed as if you felt entitled. Wasn't trying to shit post the thread (there is plenty of that going on without me) but I am excited for the exploits regardless just as you are.
I prefer the IOSU exploit for now and if later down the road the kernel exploit isn't patched? And there is cooler features? Then maybe, that would be a route to take.
Yeah we have a quote function for a reason. Would like to see people use it if they reference someone else saying something. Searching for the post you remember shouldn't be too hard. Please don't put words into my mouth. I didn't say that.
Oh shit. Well I apologize for misconstruing/misunderstanding your words. What is your current plan then? Any chance it'll be released before too long or are you still still deliberating what to do with it?
Did he ever say that?
I do, at this point, have more than one kernel exploit, so I could release it.
as for the kernel exploit, I'm still deliberating what to do with it.
My fault for reading too far into it I spose. :/it could be released before too long.
you need a teensy or something similar for nand dump, luckily its socketed.Does anyone know how to reverse-engineer a device? Do I need to get a soldering iron and some wires attached to an SD card etc.? Or is that for just doing a nand dump?
Lol.Does anyone know how to reverse-engineer a device? Do I need to get a soldering iron and some wires attached to an SD card etc.? Or is that for just doing a nand dump?
When you have a bunch of easily excitable people, this is what you get. I don't see this ending anytime soon unless either the iOSu is released or the gbatemp police drops by. I think the latter is more likely. Will the drama stop already?
Any advantage of hardware RE-ing?RE-ing could be partially done with soldering and stuff to but that's hardware REing. If you want to RE a device to hack it (like a kernel exploit or IOSU) you will need to do it in software (though hardware REing can help as well it's not the most important part of it and can be done without)
If you don't mind sharing. What are you deliberating over or what are some of the pros and cons? That way we could all have a better understanding of what's going on.I am still deliberating what to do. There is a chance of release soon, but that is not a promise.
In case of Wii U, no. It's hardware is already understood. Hardware REing is mostly for devices of which the way the hardware functions is unknown.Any advantage of hardware RE-ing?
let me just quote you on this.....hang on, that's not optimistic enough, let me practice my creative libertiesI am still deliberating what to do. There is a chance of release soon, but that is not a promise.

Like i already said a dozen pages back today, probably somewhere around page 163 or so. If i were you i wouldn't promise anything. You're profile is gonna get flooded by 5.5.0 5.5.1 loadiine kids. Tagging your name everywhere on these forums that you're gonna wake up with a thousand notifications everyday and in the end all you're getting is not a single thanks at all but only name calling and so forth. Messaging you a 1000 times a day harassing you every single second. You know that right ?I am still deliberating what to do. There is a chance of release soon, but that is not a promise.
