Fuck me, I auto updated to 5.5.1, am I done for? now? I just recently bought my Wii U so I probably won't even use any exploits at this time lol.

If you didn't take the precautions and safeguards to prevent updates from installing and you knew full well about them and how to implement them, but were just apathetic about doing so, it's entirely your fault that you lost your exploitable firmware.

Anyways, it seems that it's not going to be as bad as is initially thought to be, so I'd just hang on. Implement all safeguards and ensure that you can no longer update, and just be patient.

Let me explain a bit, I have only had my Wii U since the beginning of december, before that I was looking at all the things and stuff about it, you know. So after I bought it I didnt really think about homebrew and stuff. I just let it be for now because I still have the 1 year warranty that I don't wanna void. But after reading that the Wii U is very hard to hack, I thought that I should start with not updating now.

That's my point also. I would like to know the stage of his work. It will be very interesting to have a clear view of how the things going.
