A new firmware come with the chip, here is a link : here

Tested on x2 OLED and x1 v2, first training is very fast and glitching time seem to be ~ same as hwfly nx firmware

Thanks for sharing, I wonder if it fixes the issue shown in this thread.
Is there any changelog?

Is NX-Mod a different brand than Chip-NX?
Afaik Chip-NX is currently at version 0.32 or something?
NX-Mod would be a significant jump with v1.2.
@Mena do you know more?

I’ve been out of the loop for a while. There’s a couple weird mods I’ve seen around. This is a new one as well

I tried this firmware with my OLED v5 chip, but the switch boots immediately in OFW and doesn't start training.

Tried also the new 0.7.2 hwfly-nx firmware but endless training mode again.

Only the hwfly-0.31-p5.1-oled firmware works with my chip.

Edit:
other firmwares with endless training mode:
0.7.1
0.7.1-p2-oled
0.31
0.31-p6-oled

This time I saved the putty logs:

the putty log is telling me there isnt good communication on the emmc lines for hwflynx. the other log doesnt tell me much of anything since it's all 0's for almost all of it, then you got a longer string of 0's at the end with a successful glitch. looks as if it bruteforced

Thanks for the info.
The strange thing is, I have measured the C point 4 times with 2 different Dat0 adapter.
Value is always 0.605 V

And with the p5.1 firmware every boot is successful.
Anyway, main thing it works. :)

Last edited by swutch,
have tested more firmwares.
the following also work:

hwfly special p5
hwfly special p3 (slower than p5.1)
hwfly P1 TX (mutch faster)

p5 and p3 again show only 0s in putty,
but P1 looks a little different.

Finally I know what the problem was. I should not have used solder with bismuth near the APU. SP1 & SP2 did not have a stable connection because of this.:rofl2:

Thanks for your support!

Does it now work with HWFLY-NX as well?

Yes, now any firmware works with an instant boot.
Awesome!
I have a HWFLY 4.1 Lite here which I want to install into a Switch Lite soon.
I heard scary stories about the 4.1 and I hope they are also coming from wrong/bad installations.

Had a similar problem, my v5 oled chip was on 0.7.1

Every 3. or 4. boot the LED looked like this:
pulsing purple, flashing orange, pulsing purple, then pulsing red and then it boots to stock firmware.
So only 3/4 successful boots.

Flashed 0.31 firmware and bootlader from the sellers gdrive.
After that, It stucked in training mode.
Flashed 0.7.1 back, but still the same.. endless training mode.
Triple checked my solder, solder was ok. tried many firmwares, and finally found a working one.
Its a special 0.31 Firmware, uploaded from my seller today.

there is unfortunately no changelog, but for whatever reason it work
Hi. Sorry, Im new in the modchip world of nswitch, but I'm reading and learning a lot to try to get my chip to work. I have a Hwfly Lite v4.2 purchased on Aliexpress, which after installing and turning on the console, the led was blinking orange for an indefinite time, I left it on for approximately 35 minutes with it blinking and gave up. So I decided to remove the chip to update the firmware to 0.7.2 hwfly-nx, when I turned it back on the console I got different flashing colors, blue, orange, red and then fixed blue, but nothing appeared on the dreamed screen " NO SD". So I decided to unsolder all the flex and ended up removing the SP2 capacitor and the pad. Now I'm looking for another firmware / bootloader that works with this Hwfly Lite v4.2 version. Does anyone know if the modchip would work without the SP2 cap? I tested and SP1 apparently it's in parallel with SP2. I saw in another post here on the forum that someone managed modchip hwfly lite without the SP1 and SP2 caps, but the flex was soldered on board (I believe he didn't lose the pads). Second question: Can I update this special firmware 0.31 on hwfly lite? Thanks.

Last edited by mathsw,
It can work with only sp1, but not on every switch. The special firmware was for hwflyV5. I don't know if it also works on another version. But it was slow. So better check your solder and use the standard firmware from your seller or hwfly-nx.
