I wanna have the slowmofeature that the Cyclo has and a fix for all recent games. Additional I want them to release a PC patcher that can patch out firmwares to support the newest games without having to wait for them to bring out their updates every time. (I think it like this: Open Software, choose NDSroms that currently don't work, let the Software check the thing and then lead the software to your _DS_Menu.sys / _DS_Menu.dat).

Realtimesaves would be good but not needed.

Yeah, the software would be unlikely, but I asked them for the Slowmofeature and they said they'd think about it, so I keep hopin.

EDIT: AH AND: I hate all these stupid button combinations, they really should do it like Cyclo does, just open a Menu ingame to select: Cheats, Realtimesave, and so on.

That would be good...

But wasnt there something called an xploder or something for the gba that did this? Mabe they could make one for DS?

They cant have an ingame menu as there is no ram left over (think it has some ram only kbs though (Cheats turn off and on)) for it to function the Cyclo DS has 2MB of ram on board so they can have this menu and propably alot more but the R4 we are buggerd so we can only have button combanations.

But then again the R4 dev team might prove all of us wrong.

well, the way I think it would best work would be this: you press y when scrolling over the sav file for a game, and it gives you a message when you press it asking if you want to activate rts, then either:

you have a button combo to bring up the rts menu, and an rts file for a game is 512 kb like a save or backup.
or
same as above except it uses l+r+start+up, the ar combo, and instead of turning on ar codes this brings up the rts menu AND the ar list, so you can select codes and use rts. l+r+start+down would turn off both. I would LOVE it like this.

or they could implement a new touch screen button... but that would screw up all the current themes.

How about being able to have multiple save files for one .nds file? My sister and I share one R4, and its annoying to have to have 2 copies of Phoenix Wright on one card, just so we can play without ruining the others save.
If a game has two .sav files in one dir, you should be able to pick which one to load. Just a thought.

I think that sounds like a good idea

Id also like multiple saves for each rom..
my brother plays my r4 too and i have to download 2 of some games

ps. 100TH POST!

you can use dso or the computer to rename them, and then name them to the same thing as the .nds file again when you want to use them. you can also back up saves. and our whole discussion of rts kinda fits into that.

If I'm not wrong (I probably am; just guessing) they could just make a new system file, right? and that could be 2 megs or whatever it needs. and you could just delete that if you need the space and don't care about an ingame menu. is this correct?

I have a great idea for something for the R4 team to add to an update, it should be completely possible.

You know that backlight code manually added to each game in my R4 USRCHEAT.DAT (link in sig) that has to be added multiple times in the editor for each and every game in the list? Make it a standard feature, then I could remove it from the dat to save space.

I hope they pull an apple and start an emergency press conference to announce new hardware with immediate price cuts and gift certificates for their store. Seriously, I hope they update their next hardware iteration supports SDHC.

No that wouldn't work. It would have to be loaded in memory the entire time the game was loaded. When the game is loaded the microSD card can only really be accessed by the game as it is mapped to the game I think. The Real-time cheats enable/disable only turned on and off the cheats you selected and does it all when you switch them. There isn't a menu that comes up so you can pick and choose which ones you want.
