HTML in forums

Is it possible to post HTML in forums? I want to post a table, but it seems to be a little difficult.

some forums allow html but i don't think you can use html here.

there are often ppl who abuse the gtml feature in forums.

how do you start it? because I used the table HTML tag on a forum I made and it still won't let me... I enabled HTML.

Charts and graphs and stuff that I do for here, I just screengrab, crop, and .gif it.
If you keep the colors down in the original to 4 or 8, the .gifs are still pretty small.
I know that's not what you're asking (& I don't know the answer) but that's what I do anyway.

PNG with the same number of colors will almost always be smaller than GIF (assuming it's not like a 1 pixel image, and also that your PNG compressor doesn't suck. Look up 'optipng' or 'pngcrush' for apps which will reduce the size of your PNG without reducing the quality)

Yeah, and I do use png for stuff, I just worry about compatibility with older browsers (old explorer) but I guess I should just get over it. Yes? No?
