because you did not add the cheat.db yet. until its there cheats are not allowed to function. please use google or the search button next time instead of posting multiple topics for answers you can easily research yourself. updating to akaio 1.4 you can download the cheat.db via wifi. more info can be found in the akaio wiki.

Use the v1.1 rom as thats the only version supported in AKAIO with cheats.
