Gaming How to tell if 360 has BenQ drive by box?

Im thinking of getting a 360 and flashing it, but the guy who's gonna flash it says I need to buy a 360 with a BenQ drive. How the hell am I supposed to find out what the drive is before purchasing the 360?

Look at the lot number , below lot #816 should be a benq , higher and you start risking the lite-on drive being in it. Drive database here if you want to look at what others have got http://www.360drives.com.

But is there a sure fire way know if the drive is a BenQ?

Without buying it , no. You can only make a decent guess by looking at lot numbers , no way to 100% predict. If you mean checking it once you have it , then drive tray

But the lite-on has the same tray as the benq , so you have to look in the little hole it shows under them pics as well , white wire = benq , yellow wire = lite-on.
