Question: is the temporary hack applicable to all motherboards currently present in PSP's?

EDIT: And... I missed the FAQ. My bad. Thanks for the reply though.

[*]Launch the version of the PRO updater/installer that's currently installed and press Triangle to uninstall it. If you're on 6.20 and the permanent patch is installed it will be automatically installed.

I don't understand this. Does this mean:
-- If you install 6.20 with the permanent patch, the updater is automatically installed to your memory stick (but would have to be installed again if you get rid of the files on the memory stick)
-- If you install 6.20 with the permanent patch, the updater is automatically installed permanently as well?

i need help.

my cousin's psp is on 5.03.

he has CFWEnabler 3.60. however, he said something about draining the battery and this can't be started anymore. it says "The game cannot be started. Data is Corrupted."

in system settings, it only says 5.03, so i assume this is on OFW?

do i still use hellcats? or just upgrade to 6.39?

Just upgrade the firmware to 6.20.

Sounds like he was using 5.03 GEN.

Total newbie with a few questions before I softmod my new PSP Go...

1. Do I need a Memory Stick or can I softmod without one?
2. I have a PS3 with PlaystationPlus. Should I register/connect my PSP before or after softmodding to use PSN content?
3. Can you uninstall a softmod completely?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I bought a PSPGO yesterday in the sale (£50) and have downloaded the theme to get me the 10 free games. If before i recieve the code to download them i softmod will i be unable to download them?

Thanks

thanks for that.

another question from a noob...

i forgot that my psp had internal memory so assumed i couldnt put cfw on it. so therefore i upgraded from 5.7 to 6.39 last night. what would be my best option for hacking. i assume it would be the 6.2 temp one?

thanks

The only difference would be that you could run a perm PRO installation on 6.20. Personally since you're on 6.39 now, i'd just stick with the temp version of PRO. Given it takes less than 5 or so secs to launch fully each time, and all your Homebrew and games end up concealed on the OFW boot i feel it's worth it.

thankyou for your help. now just to try to get my head round sorting this out. cant wait to play megadrive/snes/n64 on my psp!

Can I use this update (softmod and simple 6.39) if I have PSP 3008 (Russian version of console)? I just bought it, and currently have 6.30 firmware.
Edit: Newermind, I already intalled PRO B8, works great.

i demand immediate satisfaction
