I have the homebrew channel and firmware 4.2U but want to know how I get the applications such as emulators and such out of the homebrew menu and make them into a wii menu.

Also is Startpatch the best way to stop the Wii from checking for the disk updates or is there something better?

Thanks in advance for answering my noob questions.

You're going to need a trucha-enabled IOS for unofficial channels. Go search up on how to use Trucha Bug Restorer.

Once you have that, you're going to need to install channels packed as WADs with WAD manager. Go search

Thanks, So easy now you explain it and makes perfect sence for the channels to be packed as WAD's to getthem to work. Already got the Truchabug done so im good to go. Thanks

USE FORWARDER CHANNELS. WADS FOR THE EMULATOR FORWARDER CHANNELS ARE JUST FLOATING AROUND OR JUST VISIT WADDER.NET

PRELOADER/PRIILOADER IS MUCH BETTER, ON MY PERSONAL POINT OF VIEW, COMPARED TO STARTPATCH. WHY? SIMPLY BECAUSE PRIILOADER HAS THE CAPABILITIES OF STARTPATCH WITH THE EXTRAS OF THE FOLLOWING FEATURES: 1. ABLE TO BOOT BOOTMII IOS; 2. ABLE TO BOOT THE HOMEBREW CHANNEL AUTOMATICALLY; 3. YOU COULD INSTALL A HOMEBREW FOR AUTOBOOTING...EG. ANY LOADER OF YOUR CHOICE; 4. MOST SPECIALLY, ADDED BRICK PROTECTION AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT INSTALL A NEW SYSTEM MENU WHICH UNINSTALLS PRIILOADER.
Thanks in advance for answering my noob questions.

You might like this. This app creates wads with the title videos for you home menu. Just have the game ISO's on your computer or a HDD and then select the games you want menu videos for. Select them, add them to your SD card and install them through the WAD MANAGER, then your wii menu will be filled with game screens which look as though you have the official disk inserted into the wii!!

This program works really well, and i'd like it if you tried it out!!
