ROM Hack How to play Pokémon Sun&Moon on Gateway (tutorial)

This is a tutorial for the retail games. My problem was step2.
The game won't recognize his own header.

1. Convert card1 to card2 with this tool:

2. Use the Gateway Rom Patcher and use another private header.
3. Copy the game to the sd and start the 3DS
4. Start the game and press Up + X + B to erase the savegame
5. Enjoy!

some of us prefer using roms. for either playing it on multiple 3dses or not having enough sd space.

I wanna know why this was an issue for anyone in the first place? I have the .cia version of Moon and a physical copy and .3dz backup of Sun and have not once had an issue running it on my gateway device in any way. Is it just some crap cause people are trying to run newer games on outdated consoles? Im using a N3DS which probably alleviates some issues others who don't have one encounter in these situations but until Gateway released that tool to convert the card 1 to 2, I had never once heard of anyone having a problem running the games

I couldn't run my copy of Pokémon Moon. I have tried again and it finally worked with another header.
I'm on 11.2 fully updated.
