What is the easiest way to update to 10.1.0 as I updated Reinx to 3.0 and now I just get a black screen when I inject the payload. Im not super worried about downgrading so I dont care if I burn fuses. I dont have a lot of time and I just want to play a few newer games since Im currently on 8.0.1

Scared to do this as I'm not using emuMMC, just sysNAND booted Atmosphere via Hekate. Won't disabling 90DNS open up my switch to a ban? I want to manually grab 10.2 so I can use the latest Atmosphere and Hekate I've already installed instead of sitting back on 10.1, where things have stopped working.

You download the firmware update from a site like d* site, load up latest atmosphere and update via daybreak.

Move all the atmosphere/REINX files to another folder in your SD card like backup\.
Extract Atmosphere to root. Extract latest sigpatches (I'm assuming since you use ReiNX). Extract update to some folder in the card. Boot into CFW. Launch daybreak and select the update folder and install.

Annoyingly, I will have to update 4 SD cards later to 10.2. Not quite excited about that.

isnt it chourdjx to update? where do you get download files from

I'd be cautious using chourdjx on anything beyond 10.0.0. I recently updated from 9.1.0 to 10.1.0 using it and it didn't install the update properly causing my Switch to boot loop. I had to backup my frankenstein 9.1.0/10.1.0 NAND, restore a previous one (was on 6.1.0) and update that back to 9.1.0 and used Daybreak to update it to 10.1.0; finally copy my USER and SYSTEM from my frankenstein NAND to the successfully updated 10.1.0 NAND.

Edit: Only copied saves from USER. Didn't copy items from SYSYEM.

SYSTEM contains the firmware so if you did that, it'd downgrade your NAND.

You're not disabling 90DNS. Daybreak and ChoiDujourNX work offline.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
