Hello I have A9LH on an old 3DS model, and I was wondering what is the best way to install .cia files because it seems using an injected FBI app doesn't work it causes a semi brick on the emunand (restored it twice now). Is there any other way thanks!

Try another CIA file, the one you have is probably corrupted. You can also use FBI to install another CIA manager like DevMenu or BigBlueMenu or NASA or SOON(tm).

You can boot FBI from Homebrew. Should work that way....then you can install DevMenu, FBI, BBB CIA etc., and then just use that to install other CIAs.

The thing is, I tried that but I keep getting an error when using that method and then my Emunand gets bricked it happened 3x now

So what happens when you try to use the FBI.3dsx on <= 9.2 sysNAND (won't work on updated emuNAND) to install FBI.cia or another CIA manager?

Thats what ive been doing it on, am <=9.2 sysnand

By the way, how did you get A9LH working anyway? The guide has you install tinyformat.cia and sysupdater.cia on your home menu as part of the process.
