Uninstall any virtual router software and disable any but one wireless interface.

ItsAllParticles no matter how, but E2500 must be able to resolve the domain names from the inside. Just set it to the router mode, enable DHCP and connect to the uplink router with the WAN etgernet port if you want to get it working the easiest way.

Please run maccheck.cmd from the Before trying anything else section in the first post

duke_srg That's the current config, and I'm able to homepass if i manually change the macs, just trying to get access to the script for automations sake. All settings are as you have directed (and were that way initially)
just kind of runs full circle from here and leads me back to "this sucks cus I can't do it" lol.

Groovy93 Have you tried "Before trying anything else" reciepe in the first post?

I did - when I start nzone.vbs in command prompt I get a bluescreen and can't restart the notebook without getting the same bluescreen (restored the system to some hours before trying that method after that).

Note: Atheros AR5B97 is the adapter, the maccheck result didn't give me only zeros.

Edit:
Atheros Communications Inc.,Atheros AR5B97 Wireless Network Adapter,PCI\VEN_168C
&DEV_002E&SUBSYS_E034105B&REV_01\4&3D1316C&0&00E1,athr

(The stick I used gives me this, haven't tried the script whit this one yet:
Edimax Technology Co., Ltd,Edimax nLite Wireless USB Adapter,USB\VID_7392&PI
D_7711\1.0,netr28ux
0000001000000001

Edit2: My Atheros adapter is able to spoof mac. Successfully changed it with changemac, but that is limited to Macs beginning with "2E", so I got 2E:53:50:4F:4F:46 instead. Using macshift gives the same result.

All it does is show this:
Invalid XSL format <or> file name.
Invalid XSL format <or> file name.
No hosted network compatible wireless interfaces found.

and turn off the hosted network.

Hope it doesn't mean what I think it means.

I'm trying to get the nzone.vbs script to work with the setup I detailed earlier, but it insists on attempting to use my built in wireless card rather than the usb card that is both capable of broadcasting and mac spoofable. Suggestions?

I'm having trouble changing my "Virtual Host Adapter's" MAC address to one of the MAC addresses of the list. I've tried Macshift and I can change every other adapter's BSSID but I can't change the virtual one. It keeps changing back. Anyone has an idea why this isn't working?

Groovy93 Your Atheros can change MAC, the maccheck result shows that. But Atheros have a driver bug which gives BSOD when using MAC spoofing with hosted network. I suppose that can be fixed with proper timing but I need an experienced user to test it. There is only one way to change the MAC, regardless of the method it used - via the registry key, the first octet limitation is in the driver. ANY method of MAC cycling are and will be using the same routines, the only difference that as for now only my .vbs script is all-in-one with only reqirement of the bare Windows 7/8/8.1
Just try to disable Atheros interface, insert USB adapter and try nzone.vbs, it should work fine.

ertre Please run
Code:
wmic nic list brief /format:csv
, I suppose it will give you the same error. It is an encondig issue, just google for "wmic invalid xsl format", it can be fixed easily.

jakerman999 Windows chooses adapter to use by itself, there is no way to point which one must be used. The only way to force Windows use the exact wireless adapter is to disable all other hosted network compatible wireless adapters. If you have two compatible adapters and try to run MAC spoofing, on adapter disable (which is required to actually change mac), Windows will relocate the enabled hosted network to the other compatible adapter. So if you're running MAC change in cycle, hosted network will hop from one physical adapter to another!

Grandesco Please follow "Before tryning anyshing else" link in the first post and give me the result of running maccheck.cmd first.

Alright, so I've read through pretty much this whole thread and done my research on google.

I have a TPLINK WNR3500L running v24-sp2. It was working before with attwifi/NZ@McD1 and older script.

1. I tried running wget -O /tmp/nzone.sh http://nintendozone.no-ip.org/install; chmod +x /tmp/nzone.sh; /tmp/nzone.sh BASE16,GBATEMP and it did not install the script; nothing shows up in cron. I tried a reboot after install and still nothing.

2. I tried running telnet which gave me a "system not supported" error. I found a reply from Duke saying that ralink is not supported but my router is broadcom.

3. To my understanding i need to obtain/create a mac list and input a script into cron. Is there an alternative method aside from the install command?

Updated Windows installation insctuction with the common problems workarounds.

ertre Please try this to find the fix: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=wmic invalid xsl format
I've already heard about that problem from one user which easily fixed that issue with the regional Windoes setting

Yourstrulyxx please give me the output for the command (in telnet): cat /proc/cpuinfo; cat /proc/version
It will give "Chipset not supported" for the RaLink, in your case the dd-wrt was not detected properly.

Something so simple. >_>

Anyway, ran maccheck again and got this result:
0000000000000000
FFE6EEF7DDC4CCD5BBA2AAB399808891776E667F554C445D332A223B11080019

Reading what was said, guess this means I can't change MAC addresses.
Not that I'm such an expert but when I checked the MAC address few times after it switched, it was that exact MAC address.

ertre you should run it as one line, exactly like I wrote, just copy the line and paste with the right-click (may require to be enabled in command prompt properties)
On a first sight, you have an Intel wireless adapter which may have MAC spoofing not allowed in the driver for the hosted network. Can't say for sure, such model is not in my list yet. Being able to set the physical interface MAC doesn't mean that hosted interface MAC will also be changed.

Oh sorry, when I typed it in it didn't work right. Didn't figure you could right click and paste text.
Anyway, here's the result I got.
