Ok one last question before I go and mod my nephews wii for him , how would I go about reverting it back to its retail state if I ever wanted too?

Also it will still play all the retail games like normal right?

Thnx everyone

AFAIK, just format your system. However, that is not possible in some cases, a brick I.E.

It's always a risky procedure, so you must know that reverting might not be possible. Although it currently is, in most cases.
Also note that you, and just you, are responsible for any damage to your console, or anything you decide to do with it.

Ok prolly just gonna use the delete the channels method , Jytach got me a little worried saying there is a possibility for it to brick upon formatting..

Puff, I wanted to say that you cannot revert it, if it's bricked.

Now, each channel as an ID associated with it. When you install the channel, it will leave a ticket on the internal wii system with that ID.
If I am not wrong, HBC's one is HAXX. So, if you just delete the channel the ticket will still be there. It might be possible for nintendo, in a future update, to look at those tickets and see if you have ever installed it.
When using wads, you can use the wad manager to delete the channel AND the ticket, but that is more complicated with boot.dol files. You can still do it using AnyTitleDeleter i.e. But formating the system is much more safe.
