Normally, only special distribution mii's from Nintendo and such can have gold pants in Streetpass Mii Plaza. You can edit your mii to have gold pants instantly, to appear famous to other streetpassers. This method has been known for a while, but many guides were completely outdated and difficult to manage. JK Save Manager makes everything ten times easier. This guide is a modification of this thread

What you need:

- 3DS Mii Modifier v1.2 (Thanks to GamerDudeK)
- JK Save Manager



Step 1: Run JK Save Manager (Either from CFW, or Homebrew Launcher is fine)
Step 2: Go to Shared ExtData -> F000000B -> Export Data (Name it anything)
Step 3: Plug your SD into your computer or use an FTP app
Step 4: Run "3DS Mii Modifier.exe"
Step 5: Browse into SD:/JKSM/Shared/F000000B/[NameOfYourBackup]/
Step 6: Choose the file called "CFL_DB.dat"
Step 7: Look on top where it says "Personal Mii", tick the check box that says "Make celebrity/Gold pants"
Step 8: Click on "Save" on the bottom. it will open command prompt, then you'll get a message saying it's done
Step 9: Open JK Save Manager, go to Shared ExtData -> F000000B -> Import Data
Step 10: Open StreetPass Mii Plaza
Step 11: Click on your Mii, choose "Mii Settings" then "Change Mii"
Step 12: Choose your primary Mii

Done, your Mii will have gold pants now!

Very interesting, thanks for sharing this method.

Would be nice being able to "goldify" Miis on the go, without the need of a computer - perhaps through a homebrew that could read and edit the dumped CFL_DB.dat file.
This way, we could even make other Miis, from other people (receiving them through Local Wireless on Mii Maker), then sending those goldified Miis back to their owners.

I did this through the Web Browser, back on the 9.4 system. Prepared a link on the browser to goldify always the second Mii on my Mii Maker; a friend sent me their Mii locally, then goldified their Mii through the browser, and then sent it back to him.

I doubt it, streetass works offline. I'm not sure if the gold pants appears in actual 3DS games like Smash Bros.

Been using the golden pants for months.
Went to the Squid Sisters concert in Paris (+ the whole con) with it, and nothing happened. Nintendo can't ban StreetPass, anyways.

I'm not sure if it's working but are you able to see the golden pants when u view your mii or can it be seen by others cause mine still have the same normal pants after I apply the golden pants when I view them

I'm not really sure. I believe the program has an option for that

but it only applies to other miis (2nd-onwards mii created)
it doesnt apply in 1st mii (Personal mii)

Whenever I try to import data it tells me "Error creating extData file!" Plus, I had to go into the dumps folder to get to the CFL_DB.dat file because when I exported the data the file wasn't there. Could someone help me?
