I think the wii as a console is near flawless with the games it has, however one game that has stuck with me is Yoshi's Island and if I had to be honest I don't really like playing on emulators, I would just rather boot it up through a wii channel and I did find a thread for it but it seemed to be for gamecube and no one seemed to be discussing how to do this for the snes.

The video from SaulFabre is of him playing Yoshi’s Island on an SNES emulator, but it has a forwarder on the Wii Menu that boots up the game instantly. The link to his Wii channel injection/forwarder repository should be in the description of that video. Once you find and download Yoshi’s Island there, just copy the files to your SD card and install the included .wad to your console.

Here’s more info if you are interested on making your own: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...ls-of-your-favorite-retro-games-d-wii.602640/

Yeah that's my video where I showcased Yoshi's Island (SNES Super FX GSU-2) running on Snes9x TX emulator but with autoboot for be loaded as if were an official Wii Virtual Console channel.

For do that, i used this method of making SRLs for the Wii, here's a complete tutorial for do it by yourself: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...ls-of-your-favorite-retro-games-d-wii.602640/

How would I format Yoshi's Island for step 13, since I'm using Snes9x GX and I am a little confused on your_game_SRL since in the image it uses sfg_nes_duckhunt

Yeah that name i used as an example, but you can use any folder name u want but it mustn't have any spaces (for example, SNES_YoshiIsland)

Sorry for the very late question I took a hiatus from modding my wii

Do you happen to have a working wwPacker download since the ones I have dont seem to work, whenever I drag the wad file of my choice (This one being Super Mario World) into wwPacker it says "ERROR Missing common-key.bin".

For a working wwPacker download mirror: i have reuploaded it here time ago https://gbatemp.net/download/wwpacker.36649/

For the error you mention: this is caused because the wwPacker folder doesn't have the required common-key.bin file.
You have two choices:
1. Google it and download the file, or
2. Use some tools like MakeKeyBin.exe (from WiiScrubber, but you'll need to rename the generated key.bin file to common-key.bin and delete the kkey.bin (the Korean Wii key)), or gzinject on CMD with the -genkey option.

Once you have generated the common-key.bin file, copy it and paste into the wwPacker folder. That's all.

Greetings!

I now have the key thanks to your help and have gotten to the HowardC Tools portion, for some reason all the downloads are all gone. The 2 downloads I have obtained don't have the brlyt file. do you happen to know how to obtain a download link for HowardC Tools that has the brlyt files in them? Oh and also I can't open them and don't know what to install it just gives me an error when I do.
