yeah but i want to change the screens when i load the app i want to change the pictures

i hace changed al the pictures i can find but nothing really worked except that binary file there must be a way to change this or not?

so? i can compile but that,s not my point
my point is to make a .bin from a c file

what you say is about to compile but that is not what i asked

1)Why?
2)If you want to change something either learn how to reverse engineer or you know... just have the source.

Not sure why you would want to, but in any case, if it's to make a .bin file this probably isn't the best place to ask it.

I'm pretty sure that you would just compile it differently, but you should be able to just google something like this.

Is this a homebrew program? If so, google for some guides on using the devkit ARM toolchains. You need that to compile ROMs from source for the DS.

Sounds like you're very new to this though, so even before that I'd suggest looking up some tutorials on the basics of C language programming.

yes i,m new with c programming but someone who knows the c language helps me out with some of the c code
i feel stupid...to not read anything before i started to try things out...

sigh...

but ehm what are arm toolchains???xD never saw that one before
----------------

to answer you question if this is a homebrew program.. yes it is i,m trying to make something else from a source i downloaded from te internet i browse the source very carefully to see how its builded
and really i learn quicker by just doing it but i figured out that i really have to read a tutorial according to your reply but if you want to look the source and all the files the app is originally called ifile

here is the source
(this site works better with firefox for some reason ie wont download me any stuff instead ie just reload the page)

i always want to quick.. i think sometimes i can do it without any stupid tutorial

but thanks for your help maybe you see something later....

.....atleast i hope so

but one last question do you know where are good tutorials???
(i hate to ask much..

There are many great C tutorials out there. The best way to start learning programming is either
A)C++ DIRECTLY for the Nintendo DS
B)C# for Windows (kits make it EASY as hell, and avoid many problems that are standard of C++)

For ANY beginning programming.

almost didn't notice that.
A lot of my fellow students thought exactly the same way as you...you know...want to learn it the fast way...Most of 'em did not finish thy computer science studies.

If you want to learn programming you''ll have a long way to learn...there is no good short cut and everybody needs different ways to learn.
