I know there are hex editing tools out there that let you do everything, but I wouldn't know the first thing about how to use them...

So how do I use these tools to change Pokemon stats in Black and White?

If you want to do it by hex, open up BW's a016 narc file, then search for the original base stat of a Pokémon in hex in the order of HP, Attack, Defense, Speed, Special Attack, Special Defense, and just change them as you want.

Alternatively you can use twistedfatal's stat editing tool.

Top one there. Most of the time it works. I've had some problems with it before, but on the whole it's fine. I just prefer hex personally since it's quite simple to do.

No, PPRE is a tool for editing Gen IV games.

Hex editing means you need a hex editor, such as Hex Workshop or Cygnus Hex Editor. It displays the file in hexadecimal values (0, 1, 2 ... D, E, F) which you then need to change to get what you want. It doesn't sound like you know that much about hex so I'd suggest you just use twistedfatal's tool, since it simplifies the whole process.

Yeah, I just did.

I hope you don't mind that I started with your rom hack, I don't plan on distributing my modified version or anything.

It's fine in that case, no problem.

I decided to give Dunsparce incredibly good stats as a joke, since Dunsparce is commonly regarded as a not very good Pokemon. :P

And I changed the Attack/Special Attack for the Pidove line to make them attackers again.

I asked for a tutorial on using hex editors to change Pokemon base stats.
if you using hex editor this structure pokemon base stat on pokemon BW : (sorry i can't paste text to browser since all color become black...)
