How do you organize your game library?

So, what kind of system do you have on your library? Alphabetically arranged? By genre? Release date? Priority (how much you play a game/games you're planning to play or get constant playtime) By platform? Say so

I'm organizing my 23 Xbox games right now on a shelf that can only fit 15 cases so I figured I'd get some ideas from other people.

My collection is arranged by priority I guess. Don't set it out that way, it just happens. Last played game tends to go on top/at the front (some of mine are side by side, other games are stacked).

Alphabetically by system.
I used to have it arranged by genre, but it eventually got to be too much of a hassle.

Having physical copies is pretty nice. If I had the cash, I would get all over owning physical copies of especially my favorite series.

For my games, they just kind of get put in any order. I always know what I'm looking for and where it is, so the rest doesn't really matter.

No particular order (Well, there's no order in randomness anyway), except by system, and I try to keep series together (like suiko 1 next to suiko 2).
Some are even in boxes, no order at all, I just look at all of them when I want one in particular.

Depends on what it is. For something like the DS where I only have a few carts, I don't bother sorting. For something like GBA where I have some more carts, I sort them a bit (RPGs together, pokemon games together, mario games together), for something I have a lot of I might alphabetize (like dreamcast discs).

With an exception to PS3 games, with those i follow the number order at the bottom of the spine.

Go to homebase, buy some cheap MDF, put a shelf together and then sort your games alphabetically.

Simple: I don't. BTW, since XBOX games are all shooters anyway, I guess you can shuffle them around, pick one at random and still be playing the same game, anyway. [/trollface]

Same for my DS, and Wii games. Saves have a sub folder inside the game's folder. Simple.

op PC (steam) I have two ways:
By genre (I made up few of my own) and "favorites" that are what I generally play.

On consoles (PS2, GameCube, Xbox) it is by system - and also my favorite PS2 games get place in the top shelf DVD rack while lesser favorite ones get to lower shelf, that also includes gamecube games in it.

I am runnig out of space though, PS1 games and generally, need to figure out new system for this soon...
