Homebrew How do I remove the home brew?

A friend added the HomeBrew channel to my wii.
I don't use it, at all.

I just bought the new Super Mario brothers game, but I can't update it because it says it will kill my wii if there is any non factory modifications present.

What do I do?

I am not a tech minded person, and I'm not very savvy with the tech lingo either.

I just want to remove this thing so that I don't have to worry about it.
Is there a way to re-set my wii, remove this thing, or return my wii to the un-modified factory settings?

if all you have is the homebrew channel then just to step 8

Also just so you know Nintendo wont brick you for having HBC installed, sense your not homebrew savvy and more than likely dont even know how to run apps
just remove it from data management, yea it will leave a ticket installed but it wont hurt you

Go to Data Management and into Channels and delete it.
