How do I install a WiFi driver in Linux?

They're usually builtin in the kernel already.

Is it an USB adapter? If so post the

sudo lsusb
output here, I'll need that to check the chipset used.
 
At worst, NDISWrapper may work as it allows use of the Windows Driver instead, which some chipsets need to work properly or at all.
