I'm currently using a friend's PC and it's been customised a bit but one of the thing I really liked was this:

Where highlighting a certain text shows up a blue box which you then click and then it takes you to several search engines. Google throws up too many suggestions but which one has this one?

Why not just check his Add-ons menu? It will definitely narrow down your search. Hell, why not just ask him?
Add-ons menu is fairly bare and only has Adblock and Downthemall.

That said, I did try out Fasterfirefox and it didn't appeal to me.

If you click the popup window's "option...", don't you have the add-on option showing with it's name ?
"preferences for xxxxx"

my addon has it's name written here

2•
Another way to do it :
type in your address bar : about:config
then search for "extensions", this will show all the preferences for the extensions, with their names.
(of course that is if the developer registered the option in the right place, he could have registered it to "my.extension_name.option_name" instead of "extensions.extension_name.option_name")

extensions.dta is for downthemall
and
extensions.addblockplus for ... yes

so
the other one should be the one you are looking for.

Again, another way : (maybe need a little knowledge, and an additional add-on installation)

Install DOM inspector (it's a debugging/dev tools)
Open your popup's "option..." window
Open the DOM inspector "tools/DOM inspector"
select "File/inspect chome document" and pick the option window.
You will have the path to the window option written in your DOM inspector, like "chrome:///content/option.xul
or the path to the real folder it is located if it's an external addon (fille:///c:/user/etc.)

This is just weird there's no other add-on in the addon manager, maybe it's a plugins ? (like cooliris)

It does it in IE8, so maybe it's something to do with bing?
What is bing ? (I didn't google it, I admit)

Think it's safe to say that it definitely isn't an addon.

The option window when I highlight and click it just shows a dictionary and that's it.

thanks for bing things.

@Harsky: It might come from somewhere, if it's not in firefox it must be installed in his computer to interact with firefox (or with any navigator ?)
did you checked his list of installed software in "add&remove" from control panel?

Too bad, there's no picture searching engine (google might create it, upload one, search the web for identical one

)

Ohh, thank you for TinEye
smile.gif

That's what I needed

I tested the logo from Harsky's first post, but TinEye doesn't work with pictures less than 100*100px.

I tried this one, I'm quite content of the result ^^
My sister reproduced it in oil paint, but didn't know the original name.

The search engine correctly removed the borders and found this image being a part of a bigger paint. good !
(search result available 72H)

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

  • Veho @ Veho:
This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
