Hacking How do I connect to the internet with my R4I card?

I have the R4I RTS 3DS card and I want to use the internet to be able to easily install updates and cheats for it. Whenever I try to set up a DS Wi-Fi connection it just gives me a message that says "The access point's security settings are not supported by the Nintendo DS. For help, visit support.nintendo.com."

NDS only support WEP Connection while 3DS support WPA + WPA2.
Do you change the router security connection type to WEP yet?

No, I haven't and I can't really do that because my dad controls the router. Oh well
