I give the screens a good blast of compressed air, just to get rid of debris, then i wipe horizontally with a damp tissue.

Don't use a damp cloth, use a microfibre cloth which is completely dry. It will get fingerprints and other marks off your ds fine.

Just because it's cloth, doesn't mean it's automatically better. Maybe a microfiber cloth would work better? Occasionally, I use a damp cloth only because I have that weird stuff after my friends play on it. I won't wipe off easily with a microfiber cloth, but a damp cloth will. But a microfiber cloth, I believe, can get oil off better and such.

Just so you know, a Microfiber cloth is like the kind you get with screen protectors and glasses. I don't think you're supposed to dunk those in water. They work better dry anyways.

i use spit and my t-shirt everytime.

I use a bit of water and vinegar and i also use the little cleaning thing that came with my EZFlash.
