Update I went and did the system transfer and only some of my games appear on the homescreen now but the saves are there for those that do. I can take the few save loses there seems to be and just re-download the games. Thanks everyone!
You can look at the contents of your SD card to reference which title IDs you have, in case you have a different region of a certain game. That would make all the difference for some not to show up.
I don;t know how the regions would have changed. But post success I deleted the smaller games that didnt show up on the home screen, but now I wonder if the games that do appear only appear because they were on this consoles nand before the transfer. In that case it would have been smart to just download all the titles i need on the target ds before the transfer.
Nah, it's more likely that some of those games used older security, so they showed up without any special bells and whistles. A system transfer would have made those games not show up even if you downloaded them beforehand.
The target console would of been formatted due to transfer. Those titles would of been deleted.
Yea I was going to do it how you suggested but after the trafer was done, I put the sd card in the target ds and turned it on to find my themes and a few of my games with the important saves. So idk like I said just gonna delete and reinstall the games that don't show up.
Everyone is making this too complicated. All you need to do is do a system transfer then use Decrypt9 on the old 3DS to dump your tickets.db file and then use Decrypt9 on the new 3DS to inject the tickets.db file. Poof, all your old games and saves are accessible again.
In Decrypt9 it's at SysNAND/EmuNAND Options > System File Dump > ticket.db.
Import it by going to SysNAND/EmuNAND Options > System File Inject > ticket.db
It is not, that is why I explicitly mentioned Decrypt9.

I will be getting another 3ds shortly and I too want to keep everything from my current setup.
I know I'm late replying to you and this thread but I just got tikshop a couple months ago and it fixed all my issues.

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
