Ok, sorry if this has been asked, if it has i havnt found it. all i have seen is cearps PoC thread, WowFunHappy's sysNAND changing thread, and one RxTools emuNAND region change thread. They all didnt really help. I want to have a second emuNAND and change it from USA to JPN. I have my own reason for changing reasons (mine is that i like to show off what i can do to friends, such as programming, hacking, kowledge of computers and servers, ETC. Lots of stuff i do isnt exactly legal so dont ask about it.), but i also want to know other reasons someone would want to change regions (other than WowFunHappy's reason).

Use the method in wowfunhappy's guide to change sysnand, then make an emunand from the changed sysnand. Then restore your vanilla image to sysnand using gateway's launcher.

The alternative is to use Decrypt9 to generate a xorpad for your nand, install the target region's .cias on your emunand, decrypt it and replace the SecureInfo_A file.

xorpad for sysnand or emuNAND? and i thought xorpads were for roms not nands, how do i create a xorpad for my NAND on a new 3ds? also where do i get the .cia's? is that still possible withy 3DNUS?

isnt decrypt9 for spider? and where do i get a new secureinfo_A? i dont have a donor

Decrypt9's bootstrap branch launches from ninjhax. You will need a 3DS from your target region with 9.2 or below to extract the secureinfo file from it, or there are public secureinfo files for US and EUR that can't be linked to or shared here.

how bout JPN? Any way too find said secure info files?

Decrypt9 was ported to NINJHAX so you will need a copy of Cubic Ninja.
Edit: Blackhat skiddie? :P

can i use a rom?

Also, can i use this: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-3ds-nand-secureinfo-tool-for-region-change.383792/ says i have to downgrade tho, which isnt possible with n3ds, this true?

I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
