Hacking How can I bypass this update?

. Like I see, you need to downgrade, otherwise nothing will work. Oh, and I'm definitely not happy with Preloader, it's too buggy, and I only have it because I'm messing with the Systemmenu. For all the other people, that wants Region Free, Skip Update, etc, and don't mess with their Wii, I'll recommend Starfall, nothing other. The best solution right now.

Download Wii Downgrader here and use it to downgrade to 3.2. Sorry that you're having to go through all of this just to play one game.

Yes

Weird, I just tested out Starfall with MadWorld and encountered a black screen, even after uninstalling the patches and installing patches again. Gecko OS also gives me the dreaded 002 Error, so I had to install the IOS from the disc. I'm sure I could of bypassed this by another way, but I was just too eager to play the game.

just use the ARC (the one on the bottom of the page) to go to 3.2 (select your own region!)
Since your on a new clean 3.2 then, you can get starfall instead of preloader

edit: you need the IOS downgrader first, link in post below me

Spoiler: instructions

1) Go into Home Brew Channel

2) Run “IOS Downgrader”, if some things fail, run it once more. Ask for help if need-be. ( SoftMii.com Help Section)

Your Wii IOS's are now proper and hackable, Regardless will still need the special 3.2, So lets do the following steps after you make sure you have a net connection.

3) Run HBC (HomeBrew Channel)

4) Select and load AnyRegionChanger M5....it'll mention about Korean Discs, IGNORE.(Thx 2 Twiizers + Qleap)

5) Get into the options (Press A), and IGNORE the top section which has region change stuff and EULA stuff.

6) Look at the mid-bottom options, about installing 3.2 (or 3.3K), and leave it on 3.2E for PAL /3.2U for NTSC

7) Click "GO" and then answer then answer YES when it asks if you are sure.

8) Answer "NO" when it asks about Korean Disc Loading *explained later*

9) Answer "YES" when it asks you to install SPECIAL STARFALL TYPE-HACKS.
Wait for finish, can take a few minutes. Then press HOME when finished to reboot.

I used the downgrader, however now I cannot access the preloader... this is more trouble than it was worth... dammit. I have tried to access it through the HBC, but it just redirects me to the System Menu. Should I just install Starfall?

power off the wii
press and HOLD the reset button
power on wii

Well first of all it is rude to type in all capitals. And second of all preloader does not have a - in it. And third of all you have to use hacks.ini creator to make a hacks.ini.

but from what i gather why not just install the 3 ios's with wad manager and if u don't have starfall/preloader just run the iso thru brickblocker an that's it.

I haven't gotten Mad World yet, but I read this other thread about it. They seem to be saying the "update" is safe. It doesn't upgrade the firmware past 3.1 Read here
