Gaming How block vita from updating?

I think the vita updates automically? if so how to block this?

Settings > System > Auto-Start Settings and uncheck the first option. If I were you I'd go through all of the Vita settings as soon as I got it, you know, for fun.

The PS Vita will automatically download the latest firmware if set. But it wont automatically Update you to the latest firmware. I don't think of any system that does that w/o your permission.

Some people had that problem. They had 3.61 downoaded so they couldn't update to 3.60 from PC. They just simply had to exit the downloaded 3.61 firmware.

It won't auto update at all times. It isn't like the 3ds where you sometimes get a pop up saying that theres a new update and looking for permission to install. You always need to go to the system update in settings before it will update itself.

Rule of thumb, just uncheck autoupdate for any portable.
