You could try Obscure: Aftermath, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Corpse Party and PS1 classics like Resident Evil. There's also Dante's Inferno if you're into games like GoW.

I'm currently playing "Silent Hill - Shattered Memories" and "Corpse Party" (that's an anime-style rpg, there's also a sequel)

How about horror, without the survival? Horror for horror's sake. Survival horror is good and all, but sometimes being focused on staying alive takes away from your fear.

you could try if ps1s shadowman or legacy of kain work acceptable on the psp

and i guess, if you have the psp cam, you could try fatal frame

If you want horror for horror's sake, you could try Hysteria Project and Hysteria Project 2 - they're two "highly experimental" FMV-based PSN Minis that you might fancy. The PSP also has Manhunt 2, but I'm not sure if that'll be down your alley.

Silent Hill Shattered Memories is quite the "Horror for Horror" games. You don't have any weapon / is not an RPG. You mostly have to run, it was a good experience.

I already set that aside to buy after work today. I've been looking for it for ages. Haven't seen a PSP copy, so a Wii copy has to do. Good thing I work at a game store, or I wouldn't have had the chance to find the game at all!

A Fatal Frame game that uses the PSP camera? Is it a VR type of thing, like Spirit Camera? Or is it actually a port of Spirit Camera?

Manhunt 2? I love games that simulate the average everyday life of a normal person! And highly experimental games? I love those! LSD was one, yeah?

disregard that, i thought there was a fatal frame for psp and did a quick google search, but was tricked by some fake screenshots

It's probably rare, like the Wii version. Until today, my roommate couldn't find a copy of the Wii version after the initial release window.

I can't find much information on it (technically, I can't find anything but a single image), but it looks like just an extra mode in a Fatal Frame game for PSP, maybe?

You know, you would probably have a lot of fun with my roommate.

Corpse party 1 and 2 is all you need.

Dont dismiss it till you've tried it. One of the best handheld horror games ever. Arguably better than alot of home console ones too.

I loved Corpse Party 1, but hated the sequel. It's not even just about the changed gameplay style - the game is just so full of fan service and overly inflated dialogue that it loses a lot of its charm. I couldn't force myself to finish the game, I'll have to return to it sometime... but it's very tiring.

I honestly didnt mind the second one, i struggled to play through it at first but only because it was ALOT scarier than the original and those first person corridors man, i was tense all the damn time lol. It was obviously worse than the original but thats only because the first game was fantastic. I just think more people need to actually give it a chance. When i first got recommended it, i almost dismissed it because of the art style but im glad i stuck with it because it really gets involved and brutal. Everytime the screen went black with a text box, i was holding my PSP sort of downwards incase something creepy popped up on screen

I did not find Corpse Party scary and I don't think the intention of the developers was to scare. The game is designed to make the player uneasy - this is a bit different than genuine fear. In that sense, I suppose Corpse Party was more terror than horror for me. :)

That piece of shit release window. Horror games not being overproduced and being found in quantities of hundreds in a single store and then the game is sold for 10 cents is bullshit.

I wonder......

Why would I dismiss it? It's a slice of life game about a group of people doing their normal routine. I love those games!
