Guy Clearly has a question, no question mark put in title. There is a thread for these types of questions http://gbatemp.net/threads/switch-noob-paradise-ask-questions-here.488277/

Homebrew on the switch could mean a few things
Homebrew he developed
Homebrew he found not in know by many
Or a question without the question mark.
i'd argue his title was pretty relevant to his post just vague. but i dont like long titles anyways because I give up reading them if they are.

People don't understand crypto is inherently worthless and expect any new coin to come out to explode the way Bitcoin did. Protip: they won't.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not an investment opportunity, it's a lottery. It's a ticket with a very very very small chance of winning big, and an almost certainty of losing.
  • Veho @ Veho:
So if you want to dabble in crypto, buy a dollar's worth and wait. Don't fucking "invest" in it, it's literally nothing.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
you can invest in the "trusted" cryptocurrencies
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
everything else is not worth it
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but people don't wanna invest, they wanna get rich quick
  • A @ anotherthing:
I'm one of those crazy paranoid people who think bitcoin is only valuable while they need the processing power of all those miners.
  • Veho @ Veho:
You can't invest in trusted cryptocurrencies, they are all too volatile.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
100 bucks (or whatever) for a small chance to get rich seems worth it to a lot of people

you say that but on average they have only been going up

what people don't get is investing is a long term commitment, you can't sell at the first dip

@The Real Jdbye, Don't forget Peter Popoff, he's been doing scams for decades since the 70's. Been busted many times. Surprised he hasn't been arrested yet.

I just read up on him, crazy he has started many churches, paying himself and wife 100k monthly salaries, then when money in church goes dry, he files bankruptcy, and starts another. Sad. He is to this day still worth 10million from all his scams.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Peter even spent his money on a luxurious house possibly from the money that he scammed out of his victims, claiming that he could erase anyone's debt. I don't think he believes in God but is using this for manipulation.

Honestly, I feel bad for the people who fell for this.

It says with his new church, you can order online a $10 "Blessed bottle of Spring-water" or a "Touched by him Personal Letter", what a scam!
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BigOnYa, You probably rub the Spring Water on your genitals and bless him with $20. Sure is a scam.
