Great to see 3DNES go full 3DS ARM11-mode. Great job st4rk! Hopefully you'll be able to work out the kinks with the mappers and up the speed to as close to 100% as you can.

I am wondering, is there a 3D effect in 3DNES? How cool would that be :)

st4rk would you consider releasing the source code for your nes emulator? I'm sure lots of people here would love to help out with coding and debugging.

Not now, but i will release soon =]

Just wait, NES is just the beginning, i have a lot of ideas to 3DS(GB, SNES, Genesis, and the last PSX/N64 ;D).

The good thing of emulators, is because a lot of consoles use the same CPU, 6502 is used on NES, C64, etc, Z80 on Game Boy, Master System, Sega Genesis, Arcades, 68k used on CPS1,CPS2(i don't know to be exact), Neo Geo, etc. So we can *re-use* the CPU on others emulators :D.

True, but the core usually needs to be optimized for each game system, and each system has different graphical and accessory chips, so even if you have the same CPU, it only helps so much. You still need to optimize the code separately for each system, it's not just plug and play. Still, it's a good start, and everyone has to start somewhere, so it might as well be at the beginning of the first truly innovative gaming generation. ;)

Yeah, i know it, but it is very *useful*, and yes is a true *pain* write a CPU :P

st4rk are you planning to add a rom selection menu soon? It would make testing a lot easier

Engine Room with Cyan, watching him learn.
There should also be a separate thread. I don't know why all 3ds homebrew has to hide in this one thread.
That's a good reason why 3ds homebrew is not catching on I presume.

Gbatemp has a wiki where you can create a compatibility list. It's very useful to see what's working and what needs to be optimized. However I do not know how to create a compatibility list. I would recommend you create a thread for this eventually to help keep it easy to find and ask questions.

If you don't have a Gateway, I am willing to offer you one, your effort to make an emulator deserves it, contact me if you're willing to take the offer.

Edit : Holy shit is 300$ the common price for your country?
I don't have that much money, but maybe we can gather the money?

Re-Edit : Uh ok it's R$ and not $, still expensive but I can afford it as its around 100€...

Now you understand why i didn't buy a gateway ?(here we have two ways, or buy with high price(225 ~~ 300), or buy in sites 80USD + Taxes). hahaha, because this, i did worked on my CFW, to dev my homebrews, but i have some problems while dev the CFW, so i stopped and i am working on homebrews :P

And relax and enjoy, do not need buy a gateway, i will find a solution to this problem ^^, thank you !.

I may be in line for a promotion soon at work, if such a thing ends up happening I will gladly buy you a GW st4rk. I'm not getting my hopes up yet, and it would be a couple months, but the way I see it you are both making progress and releasing general populace homebrew, and I would love to help you any way I could
