Don't do it.
High end smartphones with incredibly optimized BOCHs run x86/64 operating systems very poorly.
The 3ds is equal to a low end smartphone spec wise and it doesn't have BOCHs/CEMU/VBox or anything to help it handle the process.

The 3DS has DOSBox. And it's not like this is going to be the guy's PC. It's just something cool to show off to your friends. :)

    Check for any temp throttling with software before poking around inside it depending on age might be good practices to do it anyway
