wait.. you did a system update (intentionally or unintentionally) and now your system menu is v418 4.0E? or was this your version prior to the update? Did you cancel the update in the middle or something?
I'm not sure man, I didn't have the Wii when it was updated. Not helpful I know, but as I said, I'm pretty green when it comes to this stuff.

It says "Error booting HBC, maybe title not installed?"
OK, then copy this dol to your sd card:
http://www.mediafire.com/?ga6wbcghzgo3ffd
Start preloader, select the dol and press 1 to load the file, then it should open the homebrew channel.
Cool! Thanks! I now have the HackMii installer screen.
It says :
Homebrew channel: Can be installed
BootMii: Can be installed
> Continue

Shall I continue?

Why you have launched the hackmii installer? Install bootmii and let the homebrew channel there, if the bootmii boot2 installation was successful I will give you the next introductions.

What Version of HackMii (HBC) are you trying to install now?

The forwarder that FIX94 supplied in the download, should have allowed the HBC to launch via the method he supplied.

For some reason, the Wii won't recognise my SD card. So I changed the option in preloader to boot to file, and it booted to the hackmii installer.

I've two different cards (both SanDisk) and neither of the seem to work. I tried formatting them as FAT32, but still no good. So I can't install bootmii.

Any ideas?

Sorry, just worked out that the Wii has a 2gb card limit.

I've installed BootMii as boot2.

Just need to know what to do next. I basically just want to be able to play some games!

Sounds like you do not have the ios file that the system menu needs in order to boot up.

Trying booting into bootmii(just leave your sd card in the wii and turn the wii on) since you have it installed as boot2 it should load bootmii. Then use the buttons on the wii console to go to the wii's main menu.

If that doesn't work then load bootmii again bu this time select the homebrew channel.

Get wad manager 1.7 and get this missing ios file that your system menu needs and install it with wad manager and you should be able to boot into the wiis main menu again.

EDIT: If you need help with wad manager 1.7 and how to use it/setup the right files on your sd card then let me know and i can give you more detailed info.

The IOS is defenetly there, otherwise preloader would not load. The system menu is broken.
@TJAY107:
Please say us when you are in the homebrew channel, you can also use the "Homebrew Channel.dol" from the package I gave you to load the homebrew channel.

Thanks for your help guys.

Ok, FIK94...

I'm now in Homebrew channel.
OK, now you need to reinstall the needed system menu. At first, post your syscheck:
http://filetrip.net/f12865-sysCheck-2-0-1.html
A file called syscheck.cvs or something like that will be created on your sd card, post the contents here.

Looks like you have an old DARKCORP/cIOSCORP installed.

Here is the latest DARKCORP?. I'd suggest to run the uninstaller and if you want to run backups again how you used to, just run the installer again.

Bloody hell... Sorry.
