Homebrew help with r4 cheat code editor

I downloaded the r4 cheat code editor from the official website but when i go to modify the cheat.dat file i got from this site it wont open it it says database format error and wont let it open

please help

The R4's cheat editor doesn't work with cheat.dat. You'll need to get R4CCE.
