So I have CFW running on a 3DS XL, but the glaring omission is that you can't run NDS roms through RXTools (if this is possible, can someone tell me how?). I do however have an OLD R4i 3DS Gold (r4ids.cn) card that had originally worked on this 3DS way back in the day. Obviously that card is no longer supported and hasn't worked on the 3DS in a long time. So now I have CFW (9.2/10.4) and have run the Flash Cart Whitelist patch on CFW on both NAND's (sys/emu) and I'm trying to get this guy running again so I can get NDS running. Problem is, I had re-purposed the Micro-SD that I had in it, so I have to re-build the data on the SD for it. So I went to r4ids.cn and grabbed the "Wood" kernel and simply unpacked the files and loaded them in the root of the SD, pop it in the cart and try to play. I DO get the "Some random Asian game" cart icon, but whenever I try to start it, whether in SysNAND or EmuNAND, I get the "An error has occurred" message and have to restart....
So the question I have is, does anyone have any experience with this and can possibly give me a hand?
The "Wood" kernel package seems to be mighty light compared to what I remember from the past. There's only the _rpg folder (+contents) and the _DS_MENU.DAT file. I seem to remember there being a crapload of other files/folders that were supposed to be on that SD. Am I missing something?
Any help is appreciated! Thanks guys!
