    Hi everyone who reads this,

First of all, I'm new to this forum so please dont judge my knowledge of this problem.
I have an old R4I card, but it's a clone. The website advertised on the packaging is "ww1w.r4i-sdhc.hk", which is offline.
I've tried installing a few kernels. Some work on my old DS Lite (which is half broken so can't really play), but then I get the error on my DSI "An error has occurred, please..."
Does anyone know an update to this problem/ a kernel that I should try?

I have uploaded an image of my R4i-card as well as the packaging.

    Regards,
    Thomas

    Hi!,

Thank you for the quick response!
I've looked at the thread you suggested, but it seems that those filetrip..net links are no longer valid, and the web-archived link gives me the same error on my DSi...

Am I missing a response to that thread or ...?

    Best regards

Unfortunately, this one does not work for my DSi (still gives me the error "An error has occurred, please...").
It works on my broken DSL though...

Then it has maybe nothing to do with the Kernel of your Flashcart.
Nintendo Ds Lite - Flashcard works

    DSi - Firmware Version 1.4.5x ?

If YES,your Flashcard is BLOCKED ! There is unfortunately no Chance to use the Flashcard regular.

You maybe can make the Camera Exploit/Memory Pit and install Hiya Custom Firmware and TWiLight Menu on your DSi.
That unblocks your Flashcard for use on your DSi.

    Thank you.:)

Yes, the firmware is 1.4.5..., so the card is indeed blocked.
I will try this exploit then...

    Thanks for your effort!

    Please use THIS Guide:

    https://dsi.cfw.guide/

Very Easy and clear described. Please take your time and read in Calm and Piece.:)
Note:For the Camera Exploit please use an 2 GB SD Card (Non SDHC !!) formatted with FAT32.

    Good Luck.
    Thank you.:)

Thanks @alexander1970 , you're helpful as always

i just want to add note for using 2 GB SD Card
since its almost rare finding 2 GB SD Card (unless you already own), you can use 4 GB SD Card or other size. Thing you just to do is partitioning :

You can do this on any OS, but idk how, i just know the Windows way to make any sized SD Card or Micro SD Card with Adapter to 2 GB

    1. attach your SD Card on your PC or Laptop
    2. open run (windows logo + R) then type diskmgmt.msc
    3. look at the lower part, find your SD Card drive
    4. right click on it and select Delete Volume
    5. right click on deleted volume (indicated by black bar), and select New Simple Volume
    6. On the wizard click Next
    7. on "Simple volume size in MB" , type 2048 (because Windows uses 8 bit based, so dont write it 2000 for full 2 GB size)
    8. Click Next, and Next again
    9. Voila, you got a new 2 GB SD Card (yes, the remaining spaces is unusable, idk if creating more than one partition in SD Card would still work in DSi)
