I'm stuck on Configuring CakesFW using this guide: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-5-(arm9loaderhax-&-Cakes)

When I boot up my 3ds I get "The option to autoboot was selected, but no valid FIRM could be found at:/cakes/firmware_patched.big", and when I press Boot CFW I get "This cake uses an unknown or unsupported patch type". I don't see any troubleshot solutions, plus I'm always booting into Cakes now so I don't know what to do.

Sounds new to me, I haven't seen anyone else with this issue.
If you need to boot back into sysnand hold L (trigger) when powering on, disable autoboot, and reboot the 3ds console.
My recommendation would be to verify that you have everything up to date (stable releases, not any nightlies) and put everything on your sd again.

Holding L isn't working. I'm still booting into Cake.

Sounds like the .bin files aren't being read by a9lh. Try to re-copy them over (following the guide for placement) and install a9lh again.

Yeah, I've been wanting to start over and recopy again, but I need access to sysNAND first.

You should be able to get back into sysnand as soon as you can open up cakes (holding L)
To do that, you just need to put the cakes.bin in the al9h folder.

Weird, I don't have a cakes.bin file anywhere.

Do you mean firmkey and firmware? Those are the only bin files I see for cake.

Maybe I have to wait for Cakes or al9h to be updated? I'm only getting "This cake uses an unknown or unsupported patch type." now instead of two messages before. I still can't get into the sysNAND though by holding L at all. I'm going to bed now, so I'll update tomorrow I guess.
