Hacking Help setting up M3i Zero

Well I have always used the M3 Real and have had no problems until my daughter now got a DSi and when I put the card in it just says no DS card installed. Even with the memory card in it does nothing. Now with the DS Reals you could check the card without the memory card and it would tell you that no memory card is installed. Am I missing something here? The double kicker is I ordered another DS Real for my son as his card was needing to be shimmed to work and it doesn't work either. Now of course all the TTDS I ordered did?

Do I have to set this card up somehow first?

Yes - it sounds like you may not of done the firmware upgrade or something

> Download firmware (f_core) from the download site
> Also download the sakura System file for your language
> Install this & 'System files onto MicroSD card
> Plug in cable into side of M3i0 & other end into a USB port
> Light should flash for ~ 30sec (wait longer to be absolutly sure)
> Remove cable from M3i0 & put into DSi (I assume you're using a DSi)
> Switch on & it should now show the card (actually it should show a 'Danny Phantom' icon on the DSi)

I did google it and on dial-up at that!!The one you send a link to is only 2mb the one handheld is 12mb?

I've just been trying out the Handheld site - seems like there's a problem (there wasn't earlier) eeven I'm getting timeouts on broadband

The F_Core file IS only ~ 2Mb - it's the 'System' File that's ~12Mb

Another place recommend by M3i forums is at ndsnow.co.cc where you can down load the f_core file however I also suggest you read this thread as there's a lot of info about how to set up & also has links to other places you can download the files from.

in fact I suggest that when you go to install the Sakura/Touchpod files use this download as it will have the latest Touchpod and the latest (working) sakura all setup ready

Thanks, my son had a version a couple version old which I put on there but then too have it load but not play games!!They showed up but would not load. I than removed the .dat file from the firmware off the card and all went well. Hopefully tonight I will be able to get the latest system software. Boy these cards are a lot more of a headache than the M3 Reals from years past.
