Hi,

I got a limited edition of a 3DS game bundled with an english VC-version of "Zelda - Links Awakening" via eShop that is now installed for years on my 3DS.

My plan is to extract the installed version of the rom, replace it with a german version and rebuild it so that you don't see any changes "on the Surface" with only the rom file replaced.

So I identified the installed .app on the SD card, decrypted it via GM9 getting a CXI file which I extracted via HackingToolkit9DS getting these files:

exefs.bin
extheader.bin
ncch.bin
plain.bin
romfs.bin

Extracting the romfs.bin gave me the following contents:

<DIR> ErrLang
<DIR> lang
<DIR> rom
<DIR> shaders
<DIR> snd
agb.bin
buildtime.txt
config.ini
Dmgazlp2.f61.patch
ErrLayout.arc
face_cgb.ttp
layout.arc
shader.shbin

In the rom folder I could identify the rom file easily and replace it with the german version, changing the file name to its original one:

1.048.576 Dmgazlp2.f61

So far so good. So I managed to rebuild the romfs.bin with the swapped rom file giving me a new one with the exact same file size.

My problem now is to rebuild all these files to a new CXI file that I can Import into the .app file via GM9.

Can anyone help me please?

Thank you very much in Advance!

To make it work is also necessary to change 00000000.tmd(sha256hash has changed) and perhaps 00000001.cmd. Better create from <cxi> file <cia> and install in the console
