Homebrew Help: Question About A9LH?

It can't fail. You're either using a bad version of universal inject genetator , an old version of FBI or you're injecting a no banner FBI. Or you're using decrypt9 wrong. Follow plailect's guide to the letter and nothing can go wrong

When I tried to inject FBI, it states like this.

Please generate hs.app with Decrypt9 and put it into the input folder

I did put hs.app + FBI.cia into INPUT file.

If decrypt9 doesnt work injecting, have you yet to try to rx injector? Idk if thats any easier/more possible.. regarding the Mac.

From the rxTools readme:


1. First run rxTools and go to Other Options -> Install FBI over Health&Safety App. It will say an error ocurred; don't worry, that's normal.

2. Take note of the console region and the TMD version, and turn off your 3DS.

3. Open the "fbi_injection/[region]/[version]" folder and copy the "fbi_inject.app" and "fbi_inject.tmd" files to the SD card root dir.

4. Run rxTools and go to Other Options -> Install FBI over Health&Safety App.

5. Enjoy.

Im pretty sure holding L or pressing a certain button when booting rx gets you to the "other options" screen.. I cant remember now.

Alternatively - and probably a better solution honestly - would be to download a CIA installer to use through HBL.
Then download the h&s CIA from 3dnus, and use the CIA installer to reinstall h&s to sysNAND.

I guess the only choice I have is ninjahax patch 11.0...

As the readme says.. its supposed to spit an error the first time.
Then you use the info and go to the respective folders, copy those files to root, and do it again.

If it failed after doing THAT... my alternative option is probably gonna be your only solution if you have no sysNAND backup with a working h&s.
Use the .3dsx version of any CIA installer through HBL to install either h&s CIA from 3dnus, or FBI CIA to sysNAND. Though, idk if thatd be the same as injecting it over h&s.

The only choice I have left now is using ninjahax to access HBL on emunand to use FBI.3dsx...
But I can't even do that cuz of the update.
Welp, I guess I have to wait until Smea releases patch for the hax.

You said your sysnand was 9.2 still right?
You can use browserhax on 9.2 to access HBL on sysNAND.

Then you can access either the CIA installers you need, or a CFW like Luma to get to emuNAND.
You may need to use the patched sysNAND option of a CFW to allow installation of h&s or FBI to sysNAND. Im not sure.

I know you can access HBL and FBI on 9.2 sysNAND using browser/sliderhax.
And you can use that to install CIAs to emuNAND and sysNAND.

Id recommend installing h&s CIA from 3dnus.. then using Decrypt9/rxTools to inject FBI over it.
I feel like thatd be better than just installing FBI to sysNAND and having no h&s.

Sounds like it's dead to me.

Regardless, even if it's not 100% dead, it is surpassed by virtually every other CFW actively used today.

Move on and switch to Luma3DS.

Don't use rxtools injector it is problematic. In the script right click go to info or proprieties and allow to run as executable/change the permissions so you can properly inject FBI

I feel like if you cant even figure out how to use HBL to access a CIA installer .3dsx (fbi),
And then install either FBI cia or H&S CIA from 3dnus to sysNAND...
You probably should just not worry about A9LH. Youre making this a lot harder than it has to be.
