Very true, but rxTools didn't fall until after Luma3DS came to be. In fact, it was A9LH support that caused the mass migration to Luma3DS from rxTools.

I used to use menuhax in 2016, long after A9LH was released, due to not wanting the possibility of a brick from the battery dying during a downgrade or CTRTransfer. i eventually softbricked it and updated to 11.1 using Recovery Mode, then i later installed B9S.

Start here: https://3ds.guide/homebrew-launcher-(soundhax)
Make sure you perform all of these steps from SysNAND! I recommend bypassing Menuhax (hold any button at start) and change your Home Menu Theme to remove menuhax so you don't accidentally boot into EmuNAND during the process. Install Soundhax using the guide I linked you and continue on from there.

Just tried to upgrade to boot9strap and was successful but now I get an error when it tries to boot and force shuts down.

Can you describe it a bit better? If the blue light comes on then goes off, that means you are missing boot.firm from your SD card.

I needed to delete my home menu data inside Nintendo 3ds folder (0000000f8) I believe. I deleted that and it rebooted as it should

What did you do? I hate when people says "got it working" but they don't explain how they did it...
