Start here: https://3ds.guide/homebrew-launcher-(soundhax)been using menuhax and luma(emunand) the whole time, How easy is it to convert to arm9/boot9? I want to upgrade...
Follow my advice above. It's good practice to make periodic backups, but you shouldn't have to.been using the Emunand the whole time. Anyway to back up my games and saves or do I need to start fresh?
During the process, 3ds.guide will have you copy over your EmuNAND to your SysNAND after installing B9S, so you'll keep of your games, saves, and applications.been using the Emunand the whole time. Anyway to back up my games and saves or do I need to start fresh?
To be clear, you're not putting SafeB9SInstaller into the payloads folder like the guide says. You're putting SafeB9SInstaller.3dsx somewhere you can launch it, whether it's in the 3ds folder so you can launch it from the homebrew launcher, or you're replacing your Luma3DS boot.3dsx with it so menuhax launches it on boot.hmm alright, I will post when I'm done or stuck
thanks
I was still running Menuhax on all of 3DS's not too long ago. Was too scared of A9LH because of how delicate the process is, and I thought B9S was just as risky, until I found out how easy it was to upgrade.huh, wow, didn't expect anybody to still be on menuhax in 2017 o.o
I didnt have any issues with it but I see that Luma dropped it nowhuh, wow, didn't expect anybody to still be on menuhax in 2017 o.o
I was still using rxTools, haha.I didnt have any issues with it but I see that Luma dropped it now
it is nice some of the patch stuff you can do now with newer luma versionsI didnt have any issues with it but I see that Luma dropped it now
I have a SD card with it still installed XDI was still using rxTools, haha.
ok so I have to reformate my SD card back to full capacity??To be clear, you're not putting SafeB9SInstaller into the payloads folder like the guide says. You can continue using emuNAND with B9S, so you don't have to reformat your SD card. After you install B9S, you can transfer your emuNAND to your sysNAND before removing the emuNAND partition.ok so I have to reformate my SD card back to full capacity??
Rxtools was originally an emuNAND option for people who didn't want to update their sysNAND. However, it wasn't until later that it was updated with signatures patched. It then became the most popular CFW and remained that way until development stopped and Luma3DS took over.I'm too new to know what rxtools really is, from what little I can gather, it's like the CFW equivalent of realplayer?

Very true, but rxTools didn't fall until after Luma3DS came to be. In fact, it was A9LH support that caused the mass migration to Luma3DS from rxTools.ReiNand, then AuReiNand, then Luma3DS
