Well most kids are looking to have a community when they get into youtube. Sure, they won't see "oh muh gawd meanie comments" on youtube but than they won't feel a sence of "Wow my channel is growing".

Youtube is 98% completely unmoderated.
Trolls and edgelords are running amok, severely cancering up everything.

Come on, look at the comment section of popular youtube videos.
It's nothing but stale jokes about the dislike bar being as small as bieber his penis, xxx people missed the dislike button, hit like if you watch this in 20xx and many more spam comments (atleast couple of years ago)

If you really want to solve the problem then you'd need to be at Youtube self.
Only they can really do something about it.
A word filter that filters out commonly said phrases could combat spam a fuck ton alone.
