Hacking Help getting M3 to work

can somebody please help me. my daughters had a ds lite and i have just got htem a dsi xl for xmas, i am testing their 'm3 ds real' chips in them and they dont work.
do dsi xl support these chips, if so how can i make them work, i need an idiots guide as i have not a clue what im doing

The M3 DS Real is not supported with the DSi and DSi XL.
You will need to get an M3i Zero for those.
Or another DSi compatible flashcart, like Acekard2i or SuperCard DSTWO.
