Heelp with xbox one controller board

I was replacing the LB buton and the D18 part (chip... electric component ) came off how bad is it is an xbox one controller

Might I suggest replacing with a secondhand controller, you can pick them up fairly cheap. Rather than the TIME and  MONEY going to be spent to find, ship, and resolder component. Keep that controller/board for parts or something.

EDIT : I presume you do solder, if not, an even costlier endeavor.

Pads are intact, no components nearby, should be an easy fix.

I was reading from another similar post that they are only for IR for kinect

And it said that it should be ok to use But dont know how safe would it be to try and use it, like it might short out or something, and no I do not solder

Yep its a IR diode. Not sure if will work with or without, but maybe worth a try.

It won't short, it'll either work or it won't.
