I just wanted to share this since someone told me about this. No I didn't try it myself, but it is definitely worth showing some interest. The bsnes emulator recently got a mod to display "Mode 7" graphics with better clarity. You can see some examples from pilot wings and Super Mario kart in th in the tweets from byuu or video below. Two games which makes heavy use of Mode 7 for the gameplay. If you are impressed, then I guess this means it may breathe new life into this old retro system. Hoping that it can be done for other popular emulators. Nice job and credit for whoever did do this.
