Having a weird issue with PS3 slim

I hope someone can help me identify the problem.

After playing my ps3 slim and decided to power cycle the system, it turns on but turns off immediately and beeps 3 times with the red light flashing. I can press the power button twice to try turning it on again but it does the same thing. It only works after a few tries or after sometime of not playing it.

I have tried to remove the hdd to see if that's the problem but it still occurs.

I also tried swapping the psu I got from another slim but still does the same issue.

That sounds like it's overheating. You may need to giveit a clean.

Thanks! I tried dusting the insides, but I guess replacing the thermal paste would help. I am not that confident to try it on my own.

Take the bottom off and clean the fan, and power supply. I like to use a soft paint brush for this. Do not spin the fan too much.
It is much more likely to be dust then the thermal paste.

Update: I dismantled and cleaned the PS3, and changed the thermal paste. However, the problem still persists.
